When I was in school I used to complain to my mom that I wasn't the best at anything, I was just "good" at a lot of things. She would laugh and tell me that my curiosity and broad skillset would likely serve me better than just being the BEST painter in class. She was right. I found my niche when I started studying directing at UCLA. Dabbling in different creative mediums served me well. I knew how to recognize talent and how to talk to each individual artist about their medium on their level. I finally found what I was best at- putting it all together.
That strength is still the most valuable thing I bring to any team today. I believe you should empower your artists, respect their skills, and drive an overarching vision home. When people feel heard and recognize the passion in their leader's vision, a creative collective can pull off the unimaginable. There is no limit to creativity. |
I bring my experience as a director, producer, executive manager and a background as a videographer and editor to any team. I am a chameleon happy to fit into whatever role is needed for me of the day; whether it's balancing budgets, developing a brand identity, or holding a boom mic - in the creative world, no job is too big or too small. I create compelling, emotionally driven stories that engage audiences and provoke conversation. Creatively ambitious myself, I elevate the people I work with to the highest level, always pushing for vision- but with the empathy and compassion required for creative work.
My goal is always to create an environment for my team to do their best work. I strive to give my team the tools, the direction and creative constraints they need to thrive in their niche while presenting a unified brand vision that is mindful and reactive to our fans and audience. My management philosophy lies in creating balance, fostering a positive feedback culture with a growth mindset while avoiding creative burnout. Want to know more? Feel free to reach out. |
